What Is ARC? How Does It Work?

ARC is an enterprise-class computer dedicated to backing up and protecting your files. Throughout the day, ARC will copy the files from your network, or your individual workstations, onto its hard drive. The ARC server resides on the customer's premise as the primary backup. This allows for quick fixes to individual workstations or full data restoration to a company's server without being reliant on bandwidth.

Every four hours, ARC automatically sends any changes to your files (since the previous backup ran) to a Rover Category-5 vault facility where they are stored on advanced network servers, more specifically, in a private enterprise-level Rover Drive®.

All data stored in the Rover Drive® is accessible from any Internet connected computer allowing users to pull files from wherever they are. Remote access to files will allow a business to continue operations from various locations with the most up to date information available. But more than that, the Rover Drive makes it possible to remotely retrieve information on an everyday basis. Workers from home or satellite offices and field employees will benefit greatly.

For full data restoration, Rover will copy data to an external hard drive and ship per customer's requirements.
